History

Greater Vision Christian Ministry was launched in January 2012 through vision and divine inspiration given to Pastor Leslie Morrison and his wife, Angella Morrison. The church started with a small group of dedicated individuals who were interested in seeing the Lord’s mission continued throughout our community. We coordinated our efforts and had our first service at 1031 Thurman Road, Stockbridge, GA on January 2, 2012. It was a glorious day of seeing the vision come to fruition.

We are a young congregation focused on spreading God’s Word throughout the community, strengthening our spiritual faith, helping each other strengthen our familial relationships, and encouraging and preparing the young people for future leadership in the Lord’s service. We stayed at the Stockbridge location with the objective of purchasing our own building for the furtherance of God’s work. Even though we are a small congregation, we are dedicated to this vision. We get our membership from going out into the community and inviting folks to our services, as well as word-of-mouth invitations from existing members to others in their social, professional, and familial circles and our missionary efforts.

The church has had many challenges during its years of ministry but God has showed us favor and we remained faithful to him. In December 2019, the Lord showed us great favor and we entered into contract to purchase our first church building. With contributions from our church members, families, friends and partners in Christ, we were able to close on the building located at 1879 Smyrna Rd, Conyers, the new home of Greater Vision Christian Ministry.

Our Vision

To continue growing our membership while seeking God’s guidance. We want to expand our missionary efforts into the community, specifically targeting the youth and establishing an outreach program. Our ultimate goal is to take this outreach program from local to global in accordance with our Godly principles.
